Leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are also able to apply advanced linguistic analyses to draft requirements, ensuring that our approach is both efficient and scalable. By combining our expertise with the domain knowledge of Accessibility Standards Canada, we hope to accelerate the advancement of accessibility standards and create a more inclusive future for all.

Province of British Columbia – Ministry of Housing

Working with the Building Codes and Standards team in the Ministry of Housing for the Province of British Columbia, Trax is proud to be at the forefront of updating the provincial codes, taking them from their current version to the BC Building Codes 2024. This monumental task requires meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in code development. We addressed this challenge by devising a groundbreaking workflow that not only streamlines the process but also ensures that the final document caters to both accessible web and print formats. This innovative approach showcases our commitment to providing comprehensive and accessible resources to professionals in the industry, enabling them to navigate the complexities of the building codes with ease.

The Alliance of Canadian Building Officials’ Associations

The Alliance of Canadian Building Officials Associations (ACBOA) is dedicated to developing nationally recognized education and certification standards and programs. This provides a uniform understanding of code across Canada and enhances the level of professional recognition of Building Officials. To significantly decrease the effort required to maintain the educational materials developed by ACBOA, Trax will leverage its building code annotation system to encode the courses into a standard internal format. This will allow our migration tools to help automate the process of evolving the materials when code updates occur. This novel system will provide massive efficiency gains and will accelerate the training of building officials across Canada. Trax is extremely proud to work with ACBOA on this pivotal project.

University of Southern California

At the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, the new Ginsberg Hall will be the first LEED Platinum certified building on the campus but will also act as a “living lab”. In particular, the USC Ginsberg Hall Living Lab project has the objective to drive research and innovation in the field of smart buildings, smart materials, artificial intelligence, machine learning, sustainable architecture, occupancy and human-building interaction (HBI), regulatory and certification system compliance, and sensing technology. Findings and solutions developed within the project can showcase leading research in the context of a real environment. This innovative and collaborative approach to research and development will leverage a real-world building environment to advance technology, sustainability, and the overall quality of life for building occupants. Trax is proud to partner with USC to develop and deliver this advanced capability to accelerate research.
